So Things Could Be Going Better Right Now

Well that fucking sucked. Hawks looked good from the jump, Toews put the team on his back, then flat nothingness. Bad penalties, absolutely dominated in the third, a PUTRID power play, and another tough loss to go down 2-1. I’m not at panic mode yet. The Hawks have now lost every first road game in the playoffs since the 2010 sweep against the Sharks. For whatever reason those games have been tough for them. I still think they can bounce back, but Monday just became the season. Doubt is creeping in, I’ll be honest.

Also, if you blame this one on Crawford you weren’t paying attention. He didn’t play bad. He got sniped on a PP by Voynov, the Jeff Carter goal was a mix of a bad bounce off a ref and Oduya puck watching and letting Carter go untouched to the net, and Doughty scored off an inexcusable penalty by Rozsival. Defensive breakdowns in front of him were the killer. Yes Crow can and needs to play better but that wasn’t his loss.
